Seeds of Carver Urban Farm Collective is a small organic community garden in the West Adams neighborhood. Our name is an homage to the great African-American researcher and scholar, George Washington Carver, an agricultural scientist who utilized the pharmacological and chemical composition of plants for numerous applications. Since 2011, Seeds of Carver has worked to address healthy food access, food sovereignty, and healthy environments for residents of South LA, and specifically residents in Council District 10.
